Dr. Sharif received a fellowship degree from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow UK, specializing in eye surgery. One year later, he received a Fellowship Degree from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London.
Dr. Sharif is also a consultant for Wavelight Excimer Laser Company (ALCON – USA ), and is involved in the training of other Surgeons in many countries on different Refractive Surgery Techniques
Dr. Sharif has published many articles on the “Diagnosis and Management of Eye Diseases”; including a textbook on “Corneal Diseases” which was nominated for the prize of the best medical book published in Britain by the Society of British Authors
Dr. Sharif has been invited by many countries in the World to give training courses on Eye Laser Surgery (PRK, LASIK, & IntraLASIK) to Eye Surgeons and Medical Doctors. Few years ago, he was invited as a visiting Professor at New York University Medical School and the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary where he gave lectures on the same subject.
