Description
Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic eyelid surgery designed to enhance the appearance of the eyes by addressing excess skin, fat, and puffiness in the upper and/or lower eyelids. By carefully removing or repositioning these tissues, the procedure helps achieve a smoother, more refreshed, and youthful look, while maintaining natural facial expressions.
For most patients, Blepharoplasty is safely performed under local anesthesia (LA), ensuring comfort while allowing for a faster recovery. In certain cases—depending on the patient’s needs, medical condition, or the extent of the procedure—it may be carried out under general anesthesia (GA).
Recovery is generally straightforward. Initial healing typically takes 1–2 weeks, during which mild swelling or bruising may occur and gradually subside. Most patients are able to resume light daily activities quickly, including driving as early as the day after the procedure, subject to the doctor’s advice. The results continue to improve as healing progresses, revealing brighter, more youthful-looking eyes.
